Rubashka
Yauhen Rubashka was born on July 9, 1989. He graduated from the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics as a software engineer, and worked in Belarus and later in Amsterdam. He considered moving to Western Europe permanently, but after the events of 2020 decided to stay in Belarus. Yauhen has also been an activist of the anarchist movement.
He was detained in July 2021 for participation in the protests. During detention, he was beaten and tortured. Yauhen was sentenced to five years of imprisonment.
