Aleh Krautsou was born on April 13, 1989. Before his arrest, he lived in Lida and worked as an ambulance attendant and a sales clerk in an electronics store. He was first detained in May 2020 at a trial against his colleague over his participation in a meeting with Siarhei Tsikhanouski. Then Aleh himself was sentenced to administrative arrest, which he served and was released.
Aleh Krautsou was detained again in November 2020 at his workplace. He was accused of allegedly wrapping wire around the rails of the railroad to block the movement of trains. For that, Aleh was sentenced to three years of imprisonment. In the colony, the man works in the sewing shop and learns foreign languages.
