Anatol Khinevich was born on August 19, 1993, in Barysau. For several years, he worked as a software developer for Minsk City Executive Committee. At work, he had several entries on the roll of honor and received numerous certificates of merit. In his native town Barysau, Anatol has been known as a bard and performer.
In 2020, Anatol was detained for participating in a protest, where, the investigation said, he inflicted blows on the police officers “in a lying position.” Anatol was sentenced to 2.5 years of imprisonment.
Anatol Khinevich has fully served his prison sentence and was released on February 15, 2023.
She dreamed a dream of liberty;
she dreamed she would one day breathe free.
And she believed that on that joyful day
we will win. How old will we be?
In a day, in a month or in nine months,
good honest people will win, maybe.
Or perhaps in years their children will
Finally win. How old will they be?
Or in many many years, a new generation
Unlike us will take to the streets
to slowly rise from their knees to claim
freedom. How many will there be?
