Dzmitry Kаnаpelkа was born on December 13, 1983. Before his detention, he ran an IT-company. On the eve of the presidential elections in 2020, Dzmitry became a volunteer at the headquarters of Viktar Babaryka. Dzmitry was an independent observer at the polling station in Radoshkovichi at the elections.

Dzmitry was detained in September 2020 and charged with participating in “mass riots” in Minsk after the elections. The court sentenced the man to 5 years in prison.
