"Frost had bound all fields and valleys..."

Frost had bound all fields and valleys.
Snow is spread by howling winds.
Yet there are some special flowers,
That in winter bring us bliss.

Flower of sincere friendship –
When the frost gets tighter grip,
Simple chitchat, treats and tea,
Make one feel so warm and free.

Darkness. Blizzards never cease.
But a flaming bloom of love
Gathers families together –
Mother, father, kids – for dinner.

Blooms of sympathy and kindness,
Gleaming dreams and graceful deeds.
All those humble joy bouquets
Keep us warm through somber days.

In language and poems, in bright people that are in dark places, — Belarus Lives.
